What is the brace height people are using for their 56'ers? The brace seems a bit luch from my pics. I haven't measured it. I assume 7 3/4" is probably good?

That 56incher is sweet!
Only bow I've ever regretted selling was a 59r... John made some incredible looking and shooting bows.

John use to make the Shrew Stalker which later became the Shrew Lil' Favorite which is still being made in 54 and 56" lengths,
