band saw info for you
« on: January 12, 2017, 03:08:00 PM »
There is a video on you tube called Band Saw Clinic with Alex Snodgrass that EVERYONE should watch if they have or use a band saw. Cutting out bow staves, ripping knife scales etc this vid will help you. It goes against much of what has been taught and he explains much of the whys and hows of what is happening with a blade. It's worth your time (about 36 mins I think) He also gives demos on its use and be prepared to be amazed with his speed and accuracy. I think he has cut a few board feet of wood on one!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took the time to set up my Grizzly bandsaw using those tips.
Mine wasn't even close.
Runs way smoother.

He has videos where he sells band saw products but this is just a clinic on how to set up a saw to cut better, make your blade last longer, and be more accurate over all.
