Matte Green Bear Grizzly?
« on: October 29, 2007, 08:19:00 PM »
How common are the flat green Grizzlies?  I have the opportunity to get a 56" @ 53# with 2 dozen old arrows with broadheads, and a leather quiver for $150.  It doesn't appear to have been spray-painted, but I sure would like to get down to the wood.   http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b332/AFPJ/011501010303011600200710274500ea8b8.jpg   http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b332/AFPJ/01011101151401030620071027efab39512.jpg

I have been watching that one too and its only about 25 miles away. The quiver and arrows are worth what he quoted you as a price, He,s giving you the bow for free. Whats to think about? Or we can each kick in $75 and you take the bow and I'll take the goodies. Let me know, Gene

I suspect it's not flat green but acutally a factory camo Grizz. Well worth the asking price

Dan nailed it. It is a factory camo Grizz. You do not want to remove the camo. It is worth more with it on there.

Factory finish.   My dad has an old Kodiak Hunter with the same finish.    For the money I would pick it up.

Thought I'd show some more pics.  The quiver is a King, it had 2 strings, a Bear armguard, 4 narrow green Bear broadheads, and 6 of the wider broadheads of unknown origin, and an o-l-d bow sock. The bow sock had a tag,  but was unreadable.  It appeared to be made out of corduroy with a vinyl bottom.  The bow has an aluminum looking coin, so I suspect between 68-72?  The bow is in great condition, but has worn through the camo paint at the heel of the bow, and the belly where your fingers grip.  Can anyone guess on the age of the bow, the sock manufacturer, and the wider broadheads?  The serial is 9R8339.  With the aluminum coin and "9" in the serial= 1969?

That wide broadhead is a Goshawk if I am not mistaken.
