What can you tell me about this Broadhead?
« on: October 30, 2007, 09:44:00 AM »
Flatblade...Military Green..125 grain. Has a circle stamped on it and within the circle is the letters and a dash  (M - A)  to the right of that is the number 2. Local Trad shop purchased a considerable amount of old archery equipment from someone and there was a box with 3,200 of these.

Sounds like a MA-2. There was a three blade version as well. (MA-3) I have a few of those somewhere. Don't know who made them. Someone else will tell you more I'm sure.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

I knew some guy's years ago who used the ma-2.They weren't as strong as the zwickey so they lost popularity.I havn't used the ma-2 but used the ma-3 for years. If you come along some of the ma-3's let me know.-Mike

The biggest problem with them is that they are a laminated blade. Most guys could never get them sharp because of that but I suppose you could use a single bevel edge like the Grizzly.

I would buy a bunch, if the price was right. I would make them small game heads! Shawn

I'm there with Shawn. For the right price they would be great for squirrels and bunnies!

might try so see if they windplane before getting too excited, the MA-3's fly ok but not the 2's in my experience.
