Brace Height

Purchased a new string for my t-600 recurve. A 69 Widow by the Wilson Brothers. The bow length is 67"s. My question is the brace height. It is about 9.25. Going by the new bows which are 8.25-9, is mine a tad long? Called Black Widow and spoke to others, not much info on this. What do you guys think.

If your brace height is that high, your string is a tad short. It will likely stretch a bit and and settle in as you shoot it. If it's a Flemish string, can untwist it some to lengthen it. Don't untwist below one twist per inch of string length. If it's a continuous loop string, it may not be twisted, but if it is, can untwist until all the twist is out of the string.

Should come down to 9 inches pretty easily, maybe more, unless it was stretched under weight by the builder. Regardless, can still untwist the string a bit If you want a lower brace height.
