Where to find archery coach in Philadelphia?
« on: March 08, 2017, 03:42:00 AM »
Hello there. Some years ago became a little interested in archery but have too little time to start training it and develop skills in it. Now have more free time and decided to sign up for archery school but then the problem occurred: can’t find any archery school near my location (Philadelphia). Tried several websites like this one:  https://zoptamo.com  but it do not display any results after you fill the search for with Archery  :(  Can someone help?

Here is a link to finding coaches in your area. Depending on what kind of coaching you're interested in, this may or may not be right for you. IMO, you can always learn something from all coaches.

I have a buddy who lives in Maple Glenn, Pa. That's a little bit NW of Philly. He belongs to a couple trad archery clubs and goes to a trad store not far from him in Boyertown, Pa. I'm sure my buddy or his friends or the trad shop can assist you. If you want, I can give you his contact info.

Hi Casey,

When I used to live in Center City, I would go to B&A Archery in North Philadelphia.  The owner is a nice guy and there are occasional trad shooters there.  It does get crowded at night though so try to go during the day.

Also, check out Wapiti Archers of Pennsylvania in Fort Washington.  They host open shoots on the First and Fifth Sunday of the month and they have a good group of trad shooters who helped me out when I was first starting.

If you ever make it out to West Chester, KodaBow has an indoor archery range and I think they give lessons.  And, you're more than welcome to come fling a few arrows with me.  PM me if you have any questions.

Cheers,

Evan
