Be wary of bent and "shot out" carbon arrows.

I agree with Whip. I've had some hard hits,and using 300 grain tips it's not hard to bend the tip,and the insert. I've taken and spun test them after hard hits,and they wobble badly. I change the insert,and the tip,and it makes it much better. I've also started footing front and back,and this makes them much better too.

I bought a doz GT Trad .006 blem 1535s last year. I spun them before fletching. 6 were good. 6 had wobble at both ends in the shaft. Inserts were not even installed yet. Broke me from buying any more blems.

I just bought a doz new non-blem 500 GTs. Will need to spin test them also after reading this.

Correction on my last. 4 bad, 8 good. I gave the bad ones away with the knowledge to the recipient they were not true.

I'm an idiot I removed the field points that were on my arrows and put a new field point on that had no dents or dings and they all spun true.

The old field points were causing them to wobble when spun! It's a a lot easier to blame your arrows vs your crappy release!

That being said I did wear the hell out of the feathers. Two of the shafts had a feather completely ripped to the quill with the other feathers being worn down quite a bit.

I bareshafted them all today and they all fly dead straight at 20 yards.

That being said these arrows can take a beating. The Carbon Express Heritage arrows get a 10/10 in my book.

I'm going to put a super tight helical on them while refletching them and work on my release and that will straighten things out.

Think Joe hit it.  I've been shooting some of the same carbons for more than three years now.  They don't develop a warp/bend, but I have bent a few adaptors and inserts.  That messes them up pretty good.

You mentioned that not all of your shots have hit the target.  It is relatively easy to bend the insert on glancing blows.  If the insert is bent the tip will wobble when you spin it, yet the shay itself can be perfectly straight.
 
Change out your inserts and see how they spin.
