Where are you hunting? I was fortunate enough to go to Quebec in '99 and again in '03. Prices have skyrocketed since then, so I am glad I went when I did. With Quebec doing away with nonresident hunting (at least from what I have read) I really cherish my time up there.
I actually rigged up an old McKensie ram target on a cable system and could vary the speed it traveled by adding or decreasing weight on a drag rope. I had been told that a moving shot was a real possibility, so I did most of my practice on my moving target. My first bull in '03 was walking, but the second bull was standing still.
I was shooting a Black Widow SAIII that was 53# @ my draw length. Arrows were Grizzlysticks with Wensel Woodsmans mounted on 125 grain steel adapters. Total arrow weight was 625 grains. Pass thrus on both bulls.
Temps varied a lot. I ended up wearing my Gray Wolf Woolens most of the time and had to pull out my rain gear at least once a day. Have a great trip and let us know how it goes!
