Has anyone ever put limb savers or something
else on recurve limbs , I shoot a Tall Tine and thinking about it but hate to stick anything on those beautiful limbs . That said though if they will make the bow even quieter I would give them a shot ?

Yep, use them on all my recurves. They just work. They're not all that expensive, if you don't care for them, take 'em back off.

Place them just above the fade outs.

I did for a while.
I found the smallest ones...the ones you're supposed to put on your wheel bow accessories that are about the size of a nickel... worked pretty good if you placed them so they just touch the string at brace.
I found the bigger ones just added too much weight and caused the limbs to shake more after the shot...ie more handshock.
Then I learned how to tune a bow and didn't need them anymore.

I'm still relatively new to traditional archery, but putting on limbsavers quieted my recurve significantly. There are different colors that should blend with your bow if you are worried about how it looks.

They do work very well but man I just hate to see them on a trad bow, especially a high end one with beautiful woods

I have used them and they will definatly quieten a bow down.
They wont cause your limbs to shake or create handshock in my experience. They actually reduce vibration and reduce handshock on the bows I have used them on.Unless you put them too far down the limbs toward the tips.I generally put them about 2.5" to 3 inches above the riser fadeouts.

I use limb savers. I think they work well but they wear out after 4-500 shots

Nate, curious, how did you determine they were worn out?
Mine seem to work for thousands of shots.

I put a set of the mini savers about 5"-6" below my tips of my Hybrid, and it quieted my bow down. Over hundred shots and no signs of wearing out.

Limbsavers don't wear out in my experience. Its a piece of solid rubber.I could see the adhesive getting old and one coming off.But they generally stay on exceptionally well if you clean the limb and press them on tightly.
