Super leather

I've been reading a lot of archives about tabs. There are 2 things that you see often:
1. Gotta use cordavan, it's the best
2. I love BW tabs
Black widow uses super leather. So, you BW tab users, does the super leather hold up? Or, do you purchase tabs more often?

In one word......NO.......at least that has been my experience with a few by various makers. Cordovan is what you want or perhaps something like the Saunders Pak tab.

I've used BW tabs and have not worn one out, so I can't say how long it takes. The "feel" or "slickness" of Superleather vs. Cordovan would be a much bigger question in my mind than durability because IMHO they're very different. When I first switched from a glove release I felt that the BW tab was closer to what I was used to and Cordovan was just so slick it drove me nuts. I've been shooting tabs for awhile now and that's no longer the case, but I'd shoot what I was the most accurate with. If you have to replace a $12 tab a little more often then that's a cheap price to hit what you're aiming at,IMHO. What size tab do you need, I may have a like-new BW laying a round?

I use a Saunders Pak tab. No problems if I accidentally get it wet.
Ive never liked cordovan.

I used the BW tabs for years. It wasn't the leather wearing out as much as the tab taking a "set" that would cause me to replace it. Now my son shot 80# wheel bows and he liked that "set" in his glove.

I just started shooting this year. I bought a Fred Eichler tab and like it, so I bought a BW super leather tab and really like it so far.

I'm another Saunders Pak-Tab fan. They last a long time, and feel good on the string. You can assemble them different ways, to suit the weather, or just tour mood.

I bought my first Bateman tab years ago, I don't know, maybe 5-6, it's now smoother than it ever was, no signs of wear and with the exception of three months in that time period, I've shot it constantly!

I appreciate the offer. I have a couple of BW tabs. One didn't last too long, another hanging in there ok. I'm thinking about switching tabs, just trying to go through the process of elimination.

Right now I'm using a Neet calf hair tab that is serving me longer than a BW super leather tab I used previously. That super leather does not compare to cordovan. Why BW doesn't make that tab with cordovan, I don't know.
