I wasn't raised around this sort of social media ( as most of TGers were not) and it is a bit overwhelming. I did serve quite a long term as a regulator for a federal agency and the training I got always told me to NOT put all that information out there for everybody to see and possibly use against you. It is amazing what you can learn from just reading what folks do, where they live, when they are going on vacation, how many kids they have and where they go to school etc etc.
And then, there is the ( what I call theatrics). The trophy shots from whatever your endeavors of the day are. In this day and age, someone, somewhere will almost always take offense at whatever you do and make comments or become irate at the audacity that you like to do what they hate for you to do.
I am also amazed at the content of info many of the younger folk are posting. I can't imagine a reputable employer wanting some of them on their team. And if you think nobody else can ever see it.... wow.
There is an answer. Don't show it. Don't share it with the world.
