« on: April 30, 2017, 11:26:00 AM »
I've got one coming and i wonder how they are for smoothness, quietness, quickness etc? Look like they have a nice grip. Mine is a 66" 45#@28" Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob

Bob Stewarts are the only longbow I shoot.  I don't shoot others because these hit where I look and look and feel great in the hand. You are going to love yours.

Bob, I agree with maxwell. My 3 piece Stewart feels great in the hand, is very smooth and hits where I look. Its not a speed demon but definitely fast enough and quiet. Fred

You're going to love that bow.  Sweet specs.  They are a benchmark bow for me, since shooting my first one a number of years ago I felt it set the standard for a bow that does everything well.  The standard grip is a master class on what a longbow grip should feel like.  They are very dead in the hand and extremely quiet.  Leon's stock strings aren't bad, but grab a Tenring custom bow string in Fury and you'll really set her free.  Try 7 3/8" brace height as a starting point on that bow and call me in the morning LOL.  Enjoy!

I have my eye on a 64 inch slammer. Wondering if it would be ok for a 31" draw?

I have the 3-piece. Quiet, smooth, plenty fast and the most dead in the hand bow that I have ever shot. You'll like it.

I've owned a 58" Slammer Special that handled my 29ish draw wonderfully...the 64 would be "ok" but IMHO once you get past past 30", longer is always better just from a string angle standpoint.

I hope I didn't high-jack this thread.
I found a used one that seems to be a pretty cheap price. My current longbow is 66". Been thinking about switching from 3 fingers to 2 fingers under anyway.
