Byron heavy hunters

Hello, I was wondering if anyone is shooting these shafts and having good results? I am a longtime cedar arrow guy for my 50# ASL longbow. Was thinking of 600's but want to know if worth it or not.
Thanks.

Sorry no experience with them. I would just try the 600's with some nylon rope inside to get the weight up.

I just gave away the ones I had. I read the advise on going a spine lower. Could not get those 600's to work from any of my bows 55-45#s. I was also not happy with how a couple split at the nock end after a hard hit. This was while I was trying to bare shaft them.
I do have a shooting bud that uses 500 spine from his 45# Bob Lee recurve. They are his hunting arrows. I think he said they weighted in at 560 grains with a brass insert and BH. They are pretty "loggie" after 20 yards.

I have some in my arsenal of heavy arrows. 500 spine heavy hunters with 300 grain up front, 700 grain total, I like them. Shooting from a 42# longbow. I also use some 600 spine GT's with weight tubes and 200 grain tips, 600 grain total. I like the Heavy Hunters but not for the fast & and flat shooting fans. All depends upon your preference. I'm not saying I need that much weight nor that anyone else does, just my preference.

Yes, I've used them. They are difficult (for me anyway) to tune, and the outer shell began flaking off after just a few shots. I might give them another try someday, but for now I'll stick with a different shaft.
