I was charged by a 120 pound sow a few years back.  I was tracking  a wounded boar I shot and lost blood.  We turned some dogs loose on the track and they ran down this sow.  When I got on the scene a young man was lying on top of this very agitated sow.  I didn't want to kill it so I backed off a good 25 yards away.  My 7 year old son was behind me.  When he released the sow she went after him and he danced out of the way.  She looked over my way and spotted me and came for me on a dead charge.  I didn't have the option of getting out of the way with my son behind me so I kneed her in the snout with all my might.  Stopped her dead and she was stunned.  I brushed her to the side and she ran away.  Split the skin over my knee cap but didn't do any damage.  However my hip flexor muscle was so sore the next day I couldn't lift my leg up while sitting on the plane.   It was a hell of a kick that was timed perfect.  Lotta fun!
