i see on big jims website there listed as 9.3 gpi and on three rivers there 11.3 gpi, which one is it? it seems these are alot weaker in spine compared to the 3 rivers trad only, im shooting 50 grains less point weigh out of my 50 lb pound then the trad onlys, although i can not get rid of nock high with the blems

Are you comparing Gold tip arrows to 3 Rivers Trad only arrows? Not the same arrow.

I have a 51# Centaur and shoot Big Jim's gold tip blems and also 3 rivers trad only. Both fly great and bare shaft perfect. But I shoot 340's.

I was confused as you referred to Trad Only arrows in original post. As far as I know GT blems should be the same wherever you buy them.
GT traditional are different gpi than GT traditional classics though.

That is the difference in the Trad and the Trad XT.
also a difference of +- .003 and +- .006 straightness. Not sure but I believe the Blems only come in the +- .006.>>>-----> Ken

It appears as that is the case. You are comparing different shafts. Different GPI, different diameter, etc.

ok thats what i thought but i wasent sure what grain head would fly good with my 50 lb bear super grizzly 400 spine at 30 inches? i put a 300 grain on there and it flies ver nice with feather however bareshafting there not flying like bullets i get a nock high reading no matter what

There are times when the nock high can't be eliminated. This is no big deal if it is not excessive. I find this being caused by the archers release versus the arrow.

A 58" bow drawn to 30" should cause plenty of finger pinch. Nock high shouldn't be surprising.

They are different arrows. Big Jim has traditional blems and 3 rivers has traditional classic blems
