Who on here owns and/or hunts with one? I would love a 66 Kodiak or Grizzly someday.

I have a 1967 55# Kodiak Magnum, a 1967 47# Grizzly, and a 1969 40# Grizzly, I shoot all of them pretty regularly.

I plan on hunting with the 1967 Grizzly exclusivly this fall. I think it will be cool hunting with a 40 year old bow.
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

I own/shoot/hunt with a 1965 #47 Kodiak and it is a great shooting bow. Traded a ultralight fishing rod/reel for it years back...

I have a slightly "newer" Kodiak Hunter.  60"AMO, 44#'s at 28".  I pull it to 42#'s.  I havn't shot it in months - ever since I got my longbow.  I've contemplated selling it so many times, but always seem to talk myself out of it.  It has absolutely no cracks, twists, or damage of any kind, and I was amazed at how well it looked when I bought it.  I know if I sell it, I probably won't come across one in "as good" condition as this one is... so I'll hang on to it for a while longer, and see if maybe I shoot it.  Aw heck, what the world am I doing?!  I'm logging off and going shoot the thing in my backyard right now!   :)
All the best,
Glenn

I own two, but both are righties, so I haven't hunted with them. One is a 69 grizzley (I think) which my wife says is hers, and the other is a 67 super magnum that I've been debating putting on Ebay. I picked it up at a garage sale and shot it a few times, but the grip doesn't suit me. And no, I won't tell you what I paid for it because I hate seeing grown men cry.  :)

The mid to late 50's Kodiaks and Kodiak Specials are regular companions in the woods with me. It is remarkable how good those old bows are. Who knew at the time we would be shooting them long after the good folks that made them are gone.

I ALSO HAVE A 1965 KODIAK. 47#. I LOVE THE WAY IT SHOOTS. I JUST ORDERED A NEW STRING FOR IT THAT SHOULD BE HERE TODAY. I SHOOT IT BETTER THAN MY CUSTOM TAKEDOWN. I THINK THE LIGHTER MASS WEIGHT OF A 1 PEACE FITS ME BETTER

In 2005 I picked up a 1965 Factory Camo Kodiak that I fell in love with, 47# @ 28"  I made it a mission to take a deer with it that year and was successful with a fine whitetail doe!  Now I'm into Bear TDs and absolutely love them!  It's just a great feeling to take those old bows out and use them for what they were intended for.   Pick one up and give it a try, I promise you that you'll not regret it!

I have two 65 Grizzly's with Zebra wood risers one is 42# the other 50# both draw to 30 inches smoothly and are great to shoot!  Light in the hand. A third is an older 62 inch Dogleg Grizzly 45# with Mint Green limbs!! Yowzza!!  I like that bow also but perfer the 58 inch Grizzly.  Oh yea my Buddy has a 56 inch Grizzly that smokes! Very quiet and shoots really striaght! I am thinking on how a 52 inch Kodiak Mag would draw for me. I'm told that the besy Kodiaks are the 1962-64 era bt many and by the price they go for I beleive it.

My latest addition, a 46# '65 K-Mag. I also have a '69 that pulls 50#.

'59, '61, '62 Kodiaks, 63 Kodiak Mag,76 Super Kodiak,  Magnesium A and B riser TD's with 1,2 and 3 limbs. All but the 62 and the KM are 50-60# Shoot and hunt with all of them, But the "A" TD with #3 limbs seems to be my go to bow. Had a '66 but didn't like the grip, I would love to try both the 64 and 65 Kodiaks, and the 64-65 KM in 50# + is definitely on my short list.

I can't compete with some of the big boy collectors, but I do own a veritable crapload of Grayling Bears!
Kodiaks- 53,59,60,61,62,63,64,65,66. A few duplicates. Super Kodiaks- 67,69. Kodiak Magnums- 61,62,63,64,65,66,67,68,69. Grizzlys- 59,60,61,62,63,64,65,66,67,68,69,70. Various other Kodiak Specials, Polars, Cubs,Takedowns etc.

I shoot and hunt occasionally with most of them. It is a rampant, no cure, don't wanna get better illness! I will say that if you shop for deals and buy them right, they will only appreciate in value. Kind of like a clean old Belgium Browning shotgun. JMHO- CKruse

My one and only Bear is a lefthanded 1966 Kodiak Magnum  61 pounds at 28 inches--my draw is 26 inches----so at about 55 pounds I love it.
