Old Virginia Bowhunters Assn. Medals
«
on:

A few years ago an elderly friend passed away and left me with some of his archery supplies. Included was an old Bear quiver embossed with an Indian in a canoe. The quiver had some pins and medals from the Virginia Bowhunters Association. Does anyone know what time period these would have been from?

As a member of the VBA my guess would be they are from the '60-70's. Cool collection for sure.I'll ask at the next club meeting to see if anyone knows for sure. Our club has been in existence sine the early 50's so some of the elders might know.

This bow was a part of the collection. Unfortunately I had it refinished and lost the bowyers name

That Sir is one fine looking and unique looking bow-with the carving and dark wood-- I'm sure it is a gem.

Thanks, I agree! I am pretty sure it came from the late 1950's or early 1960's. With it I have some really cool unpainted aluminum practice arrows and some wood arrows with Bear razorheads.
Will post pics of these.
