Kingwood bows.
« on: July 01, 2017, 04:41:00 PM »
Anyone have a bow with kingwood in it. I have been wanting to use it in a recurve for awhile now. If you have any I'd like to see them. Thanks

I have some pics of a Slammer I had with Kingwood veneers, let me dig and I'll post them.  It was a gorgeous bow!

Thanks. That is very pretty. I have a really nice piece of macasser ebony that would pair well with it

I have a Black Widow PSA in Kingwood and it adds a lot of weight. It is gorgeous but like I said it's heavy.

Got to agree with Mike here-had a few of Ben's Kingwood bows and wish I had them back. Beautiful riser and limb wood.

Sorry they are not good photos, but here is my 3pc Hummingbird with Kingwood riser and limb veneers. The veneers are beautiful.  This is a great longbow and shoots amazing.

As Alan mentioned regarding his BW; Kingwood is heavy. My Hummingbird definetly has some 'heft' to it.

Had to figure out Imgur first. Due to the current photobucket situation.
