A couple new longbows
« on: November 03, 2007, 03:20:00 PM »
I always enjoy when folks put up pics of bows, either they've built or bought. Here are a couple I finished up this last week. One is 64" all zebra wood with a cocobolo and yew accent stripe. It came out at 43#@28". This was a birthday gift for my step son. The other is 66" is cocobolo with red elm limbs. It came out 61#@28". It is for my good friend(brother). Enjoy!

Nice looking bows! The first bow I ever made was cocobolo riser and red elm limbs. I still think that is a nice wood combo you don't see much. Keep up the good work and thanks for the pics.

The elk are facing two different directions because I flipped my template around
I noticed that too, when I posted. Thanks for all the kind words.
