Tapered larch shafting
« on: July 24, 2017, 12:31:00 AM »
Ive been wanting to try out building some wood arrows and for some reason the tapered larch shafting from 3rivers has caught my eye. What is everyones opinion on larch for arrows and with the tapered version should i bump up a spine size vs the straight shafts?

Larch has very good weight. Not sure of the quality of what's out there these days.
I wouldn't change spine because of the taper.

The so called Larch shafts I had were not durable, they broke easily, stayed straight though.

Just ordered a set from Surewood shafts for no reason other than I just have to try them. Have ordered their  Parallel premium"s and love them.
