Carbon recurve limbs?

Are carbon recurve limbs any more susceptible to failure or limb twist than standard wood-glass limbs?

not in my experience.  in my experience they are more resistant to twisting.

Failure? Maybe. Depends on design and carbon quality

Twisting? No

Carbon is twice as strong laterally than fiberglass and weighs half of what glass does.

One more question and this may be a silly one but will sunlight reflect more off carbon ?

Reflection depends on the finish.  Need to be careful with carbon in the sun though.  It does soak up the heat as any black limb will, which can present a delamination danger.

2X Orion.  I had a strung longbow with carbon limbs blow up in less than one hour sitting on my deck in bright sunlight with an air temp of about 80F.  I keep my strung bows out of direct sunlight or unstring them.  I always unstring my bows when transporting in a warm truck.
