Heading out to Ventura next month. Hopefully Ill get some days off and would like to do some shooting since our hunting seasons will be just starting here in Md. Anyone know anywhere, seems like membership is the norm.

Don't know about ranges but I think the deer season will be wrapping up in the A zone by then.

Conejo Valley Archers in Simi Valley has a real nice range about 40 minutes East of Ventura (off of Hwy 118) for weekend target shooting. Although I've never been I hear there is a decent archery range in Ojai run by the Ojai Valley Gun club.

Tejon Ranch, which is within driving distance of Ventura, has hunting opportunities for pigs and deer, which might be of interest to a non-resident.
