So guys, yall started this journey with me back in January (seems like yesterday) as I decided to attempt traditional. It's been a fun, frustrating, time consuming, educational, and slightly spiritual journey haha. But I'm 29 days away and ready! I'm comfortable out to 20 yards, my Magnus stinger shaves hair, my arrows fly true and I'm pumped! I haven't been commenting much because I'm to inexperienced to offer advice and I've become skilled at using the thread search tool to find other Rookies questions threads. Haha I'm a lurker. However, I have discovered one thing through this early stage that I wanted to share with my fellow Nubbin bucks
and that is... Enjoy it! Don't go crazy. Learn to put down the bow and walk away. Don't get mental! Ive learned to shoot maybe 20 arrows (20 good arrows) a day and then be done depending on how I feel. if my shots not hitting the mark, I don't keep pounding the target. Specifically if my Cold shot was true. If im tired or just not feeling it, i go fletch arrows haha. Over shooting, scrutinizing, and adjusting will do nothing but ruin your confidence and confidence is everything in my book!
so Rookies enjoy the journey! Anyway, that's my 2 cents! Shoutout to a few guys that's assisted me a lot this last year and those guys as are McDave, Arnie, Captain Kirk, and Deno! Yall guys have been gracious to share your wisdom. Lastly, thanks to the Mods for creating such an informative and helpful forum! Hope to make everyone proud this Fall!
OH and BTW.... I have a Thunderchild on the way! And I got engaged but did I mention I have a BIG JIM THUNDERCHILD on the way!?
