Lone wolf climbing strap?
« on: September 27, 2017, 07:45:00 PM »
I like my climbing stands. BUT hate the bar (fear of lower limb destruction) does anyone use the climbing strap lone wolf sells and how well does it work?
As we get older our bow weight goes down and our body weight goes up, One of Lifes little jokes.

I do and it works great!!  Just as easy to use as the sit and climb with the bar.

When I had my lone wolf alpha climber I made a strap out of seat belt material & two carabiners. Worked great !

i have it, but find it kind of hard to use. something about the length of it, and how close it is to the tree when you are sitting in it. i usually just do the hand climb thing.

Made my own climbing belt as well (adjustable).  Works fine.

When I had my LW climber I tried it. But at 6'7"  my knee's were jammed into the tree. I understand most things are not made for guys my height. I'm guessing you would have to be 6' or less for it to work as designed and be comfortable.

i'm 6'1" and it's a little tough for me. i think if the strap was a little longer, it might be a little easier. i would imagine it's impossible at 6'7".

I made my own from carabiner and a section of a cheap safety harness that comes with a new stand when you buy one.  Works great!
