Stickflinger vs TT recurve

All,

Thought I would see everyone's opinions on the talk tines stickflinger. I currently have a TT recurve that I love and shoots like a dream.  I'm looking for a backup and have always liked the toughness and quietness of a long bow, but have not shot them as well as I do recurves.  How does the stickflinger shoot more recurve like or more longbow like?

It's the perfect balance between the two, but deathly quiet.  I can't tell mine from my Hill bow sound wise.  Fast, super smooth, there is nothing not to like.  Imagine a Silvertip crossed with an ACS.  That's about the best description I can come up with. He cuts them past center so tuning is a breeze.

That's a very good description and silence is the only thing a Stickflinger and Hill style have in common      

It is very easy to go between the recurve and the SF. The Stickflinger does not have ANY flaws IMO.

Both are my go to bows, but after receiving Brian's redesigned recurve limbs I have not been able to put my 60" long riser curve down.

With that being said the Stickflinger is really special and the best shooting longbow I found for myself. Zero hand shock and super quiet.  I have always been a recurve guy myself, but the last two years all I hunted with was my stickflinger if that tells you anything..

In the end the stickflinger is still a longbow, a hybrid one, but a longbow. If you want it to act like your recurve it won't, but it will shoot like a dream!

The stick flingers have not agreed with me as well as the recurves...nothing against them and they are top-of-the-line for a longbow. Basically they are longbow, nothing close to Brian's recurves but with just as much top-notch quality

Many order the SF with a "custom" low wrist. I just get the standard grip. Same with the recurve.

Have had both,really like them both.I like the grip on the longbow.They are both nice shooting bows.

I don't think you can go wrong with either bow.  That being said I'm in love with my stickflinger!!!!  One of the finest bows  I've ever shot.

I've had both.  I shot both equally well as far as accuracy, the SF was a little quieter.  The recurve seemed to have a little more thump... I'd hat to have to pick between the two for a favorite, but if I was ordering another tomorrow it would probably be the recurve.

I have Tall Tines recurve that I have had for years, I have kept it after selling off all my others. I have shot the SF longbow and really like it and have been on the verge of ordering one several times, it would be my longbow choice. That being said, I'd order another recurve before the longbow, just my personal prference.
