Loose broad head tip
« on: October 12, 2017, 08:08:00 PM »
I use screw in type broad heads and had issues with them coming loos while nocking about in my quiver.  So I put a little plumbers tape on the thread works great and still easy to remove.

Good tip! That’s what most of us use here in AZ. The wax on the threads doesn’t hold up in our heat. These are field tips I am referring to.

I actually glued mine in with a tiny dab of big jims hot melt glue. Worked well. If its a bit stiff to remove just heat it up a bit.

Good idea.  I've used small rubber "O" rings in the past.  Allows me to tighten them and orient the broadhead as needed.

I second the O-ring trick... been doing that forever and I like the ability to orient the head.
Good tips!

I just screw them in (with tape) then place the nock and fletching based on the broad heads orientation.
