Noises hunting chair .
« on: November 04, 2017, 04:56:00 PM »
I have a Browning hunting char that I have had for a couple years and it was dead silent until recently.
When I move slightly, it will creek a little and I was wondering if I could take it apart and lube the joints ?
And what could I use that would not stink to deer and bear?
Thanks; Graps

I'm afraid the bees wax might attract a bear when I'm not in my blind and tear things up .

I have a cabelas 360 chair that has done the same thing.  The rubber bushings got old etc.  I have some silicone spray I hit the joints w lightly and it temporarily helps

Yup been there done that. I’ve had more cheap seats, some that I really liked but I couldn’t keep them quiet and they picked the wrong time to squeak. I spooked my last deer because of a seat last fall. I bought Mr Waldrop’s  seat, wish I would’ve sooner.

My regular stands recommended using white lithium grease...if they're close enough to smell that, they're close enough to smell your breath!
