Congrats on your monster buck by the way!  I know you and Gene have always wore a clippers on your belt, is there a particular brand you guys prefer?

They use Florian ratchet pruners.

Florian ratchet cutters are awesome. My dad has two pair that he had owned for 20 years or so, probably longer. I  bought a prunnimg saw from them at a hunting show years ago.

The only thing that has messed up was a piece of a handle broke on one of the cutters. But if you if you knew my dad, you would understand, he babies nothing. He has rigged the handle and is still using that pair of cutters.

Yes, Florian ratchets through Wayne Ball, Statesville, N.C. I use them every day when in the woods. An excellent product. bw

I think he leaves a trail trimmed off sticks so he can find his way out of the woods.
