B50 replacement or equivalent

Hi all,
Wondering if there is string material to use in place of B50 for padding loops of skinny D97 strings? I have plenty of D97 but having trouble getting B50.
Cheers in advance.
Tom.

I pad my D-97 loops with more D-97.
Really don't need to use B-50. Some suggest that using two different types of string materials in the loops causes them to wear differently/unevenly. Don't know if I buy that. Regardless, I usually change out my strings before the wear would show.
B-55 is very similar to B-50. Also dacron and a little less stretch.

What Orion said-- just pad the loops with D97. I've used B50 to pad loops on D97 and 8125 strings, and the B50 actually does wear/fray more quickly than the D97 or 8125 in the loops.

Thanks both. Yes the B50 in my 5 year old strings is wearing quicker but I've just been masking it with lashings of wax. Good time to replace them.
Cheers...

I use B-55. Haven't noticed one wearing faster than the other, as the B-55 isn't carrying the load. I don't shoot skinny strings anymore though--that could be a factor. Won't hurt to use the same material you are building with to build up the loops.
