It’s over
« on: January 15, 2018, 08:50:00 PM »
A moment of silence, MO archery season closed this eve at 5:42 for 8 long months.

Guess turkey and carp are next up, maybe a rabbit hunt.....

Wishing everyone a good hunting season  in 2018!!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

BUMMER!! There's almost always a season up here but getting to a lot of those places in the winter can be problematic!!

When it ends on this COLD of a note... it's not quite as hard to see go.     :p

But fall days in the woods will be back soon.  If we could hunt all the time we'd probably take it for granted and hunt less.

It ended here in Nebraska today also.  Too cold to go out today, but did make it out over the weekend.  Was a good season, now looking forward to Sept. 1, 2018.

In the mean time...

Jan-March - Bow building and 3D shoots
March-April - Gobblers
May - ?? - Carp
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch

No withdrawal here....

Have numerous projects to complete over the next few months projected to enhance next season. Also, have many ongoing maintence activities and food plot work...still running cameras.

Will then have approximately 4 months of ever increasing anticipation.

Wishing all the best 2018 deer season,

Time to get Zwicky primed for shed antler hunting and go walking trails you wouldn't have wanted to during season.

Also might be time to take a hunting Vacation, you deserve it after such a long hard season   ;)

I guess the season never ends, you just can't shoot em for awhile.

Will be winter scouting , taking stands down, shed hunting, turkey season(looking at possible tree stand trees) , mushrooms (don't eat em but wife does) fish shoot, putting  tree stands back up, and then it's here again!!  :bigsmyl:

I hear ya. Our season closes jan 31. I’m just gonna start getting ground blinds and funnels set up for next year. Do some stump shooting. Maybe find a spot to chase some pigs since we don’t have any. I got lots of bow and arrow work to do before oct too plus try to find a broadhead sponsor.
