Fedora or Mikuta
«
on:

Ive indoctrinated another cousin to trad and hes got the briuses to prove it from string slap on his wrist. He wants to start at the top so he doesnt have to upgrade later on which I understand. We looked at the Fedora site and were able to shoot a gorgeous accelerator longbow which was out of this world but uncomfortably light feeling to him at 40lbs.Hes close to ordering one but would like to hear more about the Mikutas since hearing about them also.I cant find a website on them and any helpful info would be appreciated.
Thanks Izzy

You aren't that far from me Izzy. You should bring him up and I can let him and you shoot a bunch of different bows if you like sometime.

I haven't shot a Mikuta so I can't compare but I own two Fedora bows and love them. I have a one piece accelerator and a take down 560 recurve. Both are at 50#s. If either you or your cousin are going to be on the island anytime soon, your both welcome to stop by and shoot them.

Izzy, My whole family shoots Mikuta longbows. Personally, I would recommend a Mikuta hands down over a Fedora. If you have any questions PM me and I'll do my best to help you out. If you guys decide to run down and see Joe,I'll run our bows over to his place so you can shoot them.

I have a Fedora Xtreme. Super fast, quiet, and accurate. I would buy an in stock bow from them if you can. I like my bow but I had a little trouble getting the right arrow. It is hard to get the "nock high" out. They will send you one to test drive. Check out the Turkey Creek bows as well. More bow for the money in my opinion.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Fedoras and their bows and service. At that level it will be a personal preference issue for you. I'm sure both bows are top notch. So spend some time with each-a week minimum. Both bowyers likely will send you a bow if you give them your CC information.
Mike and Jason Fedora spent lots of time with me and sent out several bows before I decided on the two that I currently have. One was an in stock bow and the second one was not.

I have been trying to get in touch with Ed redarding a bow or two for my son. Does he have a website or some way of contacting him ?
Love the look of the bows and haven't heard anything bad about Ed or his bows yet?
Cheers,
Mike, Melbourne Australia
