There are lots of good options out there. You just have to find the right one for you!  Lol
Another one you don’t hear about very often is Legends bows.
Their Cyclone is superb!
The stickflinger and the cyclone are the 2 smoothest drawing bows I’ve ever draw. ( disclaimer...I have not drawn them all)
If I can ever achieve that with my bows and maintain the rest of my features I’ll die a happy man!
Some are fast, some are smooth, some are pretty, some are none of the above. You just have to find the right one for you.
I realize this is probably no help at all. LOL

"I went jackalope hunting but all I saw was does!"
Luck is when preparedness meets opportunity, I just need more opportunities!

I had the Black River pass around for more than a week and though I'm not a 3 pc. guy, it was a dream to shoot!

I can't say enough good things about the Cari-bow "Silver Fox" 3 piece TD, LB by Abe Penner, or his "Peregrine", either one piece or two piece. I own both the "Silver Fox" and the "Peregrine" one piece. Abe's attention to detail is well documented and the performance of both of these long bows is outstanding. You can't go wrong with a Cari-bow, and Abe is also a TradGang sponsor.

Another vote for Firefly. Jim Jones makes a great bow at a really good price. To date its one of the quickest and quietest bows I've shot
60" Firefly 48#@28"
60" Big Jim Buffalo 48#@28"

58" BW PSA IV 48# @ 28"
58" Firefly Messenger Static Recurve 47# @ 28"

Firefly gets my vote. Smooth fast no hand shock.
Jims fit and finish are second to none.

I would suggest Leon Stewart's 3-piece Slammer.

Great feel in the hand. Shoots smooth, and quiet.

Boy you sure do have choices in today's world for a quality 3 pc longbow.  I've owned a number of them and never had one that was junk, slow, or bone jarring crap.

With that said I would recommend the following in no particular order:

Thunderhorn
Horne Combo Hunter
Northern Mist Whitbeck
Hummingbird
A&H ACS

The ones I mentioned have lesser of a recurve riser.

Here are some ideas to narrow your search down:
Narrow limbs or not
D shape limbs when strung or not
Grip style you like
Physical weight of the bow (light, medium  or heavy)
Veneers or color glass
How the limbs seam up to the riser
Recurve style riser or not

I really appreciate all the info fellas. I've been checking into several mentioned so I might just wait till Compton so I can actually get my hands on some and shoot em.

Thanks again
Jason
