30lb longbow aluminum shaft spine

Looking at arrow options for my boy whose shooting a longbow at +/- 30lbs.  The 3 rivers chart suggests a 27” 1716 aluminum with 145 grain head does this sound right?  Not even sure if they make a 145 that matches the diameter of that skinny shaft.  
I’m just looking for a setup that I can tune his bow to.  I know there are many variables here but if this sounds close I may go for it.

My wife shoots 1816s 26" long from her 30# longbow with 125gr points.
Her draw length is 24".
You might try thinking of longer arrows to get a larger shaft size. Even 4"-6" longer than the draw length.

1716s. Start w full length shafts and tune to the bow.

Or .800 spine carbons if you want a tougher shaft. CX makes them down to .1000 in their Predator series. Pretty good price at Lancaster Archery.

I have 1816s for my GFs 30# recurve. 28" and 100gr points........ May be a tad stiff but they shoot well enough for her..........

1716's full length.  Maybe a lighter tip though.  I get great arrow flight with 65 grain tips.

Thanks for the help guys, I’ll have to check prices and make a decision now.

My wife shoots 1816s, 27" bop out of her 42@28 bows with 145 up front she draws 26.5".  1816 would be way too stiff.  I find that wood arrows can fly much nicer for short draw lengths and light bows, especially longbow.   Extra long arrows have problems of their own for kids.

If you're just looking for a target/3D arrow and your son draws anywhere near 27-28", I'd go for full length 1616s with nibbs (or bullet points if the nibbs are too stiff).

+1. That's what I’d do.  The problem with those lightweight rigs is that the arrows sometimes bounce off 3D targets, particularly ones that have been refinished and repainted many times.  They make needle-like glue-in points for 800-1000 spine carbon arrows.  I don't think they will bounce off any 3D target.  Unfortunately, they are also hard to get out of wood target butts or trees sometimes too.  You could probably find one that would fit a 1616 or 1716 shaft.

Just a follow up, I ordered some 1716 Easton tribute shaft with 100 grain heads.  My boy took them to the back yard for some bare shaft tuning and ended up just leaving them full length.  Best shooting arrow we’ve tried to far, they seem like they are nearly perfect for his setup.  Thanks for your advise guys.
