anyone know the specific stain color for a 75-76 green kodiak hunter---- I'm close but no cigar!!

Why do you need to stain it?It should be impregnated with a resin dye and shouldn't need stained.Some times there were blond areas where the wood was too dense to let the resin in.That's just the natural character of the wood showing through.
