Am I the only one who uses his breath to track the wind?  As long as it's cold enough, it seems to work pretty well for me.  Am I missing something?

Interesting... so things like the milkweed pods are used to see the wind at a distance?  You scatter some to the wind and watch them for 50 yards?  I don't think I'd be able to see them that far.  But, I'm a novice at this stuff, so I'm always learning.

I just stuffed a bunch in an empty snuff can the other day.  I like your idea much better.  Thanks,  Chad

Good patent Guru!

If milkweed is not around your area cattail works pretty good, better than cotton or yarn.

The way I've always done it is put the down in a plastic bag.  When I get on stand I take a pinch of down and smear it onto my fleece/wool pants or jacket.  Some falls off but a lot stays stuck to the pile of the garment.  Then I just reach down, pluck a few fibers off the top of my thigh and let them go.

Great idea, Curt.  I've used milkweed (with the seeds removed) for quite a while, but the hole in the bottle stuck to the bow is pretty neat.  I'll mod mine tomorrow.  Thanks for sharing!
