The problem with using a beer can is your finger might get cited for shooting under the influence!

John,

Since the finger I have problems with is my ring finger, wouldn't I want to downsize the implement and insert it in the stall for my ring finger?  I get a heavy callous on my ring finger no matter what kind of bow I'm shooting and no matter what kind of tab or glove.  It seems to be less with the Skookum, but I still get a callous.

I shot a Big Shot for about 2.5 months one late Spring and early Summer.  I loved the glove, but unfortunately, the soft leather couldn't stand up to my heavy perspiration and the strength of the string used to sew the glove together.  I also had a problem with the finger stalls constantly rotating.

Here's the best solution I've found. I started shooting these in the 80's and really liked them.

This thing protects only the side of the finger where it is being pushed against the arrow nock. If your problem is from string pressure on the fingerprint part of the finger, it will not help.

Terry, that looks like a novel concept - I think I may try to make up one myself to try.

I have all of my cloves armoured similar like that for years, but I use thin stainless steel. I put it between the glove leather and the tip leather,so it remains hidden. Since I build all my cloves myself, there is no problem putting it in. I may post my glove model sometimes..

Thanks for the tip. I solved my release problems by going to a two finger under tab. Working pretty well so far I like the two finger under style, eliminates sttring pinch and cleans my release. Seems a Little tougher on the fingers at first and sighting is a little different at first.  Anybody else use the two under style?
