A new RD bow finished last Friday
« on: November 10, 2007, 01:28:00 PM »
Hi All,

Finished  a new R/D Friday evening. The bow is 62” long ntn and has a sweet pull of 52# @28”. The limbs – back and belly - are made of bacote under clear glass with a combo of maple and bamboo as core. The riser is made of bacote and cocobolo with a mosaic accent stripe between them. An overlay of black glass with bacote finishes the riser off. The tips are made of Micarta G10 with a bacote overlay.

The bow is a real sweet shooter, smooooth and no hand shock. My shooting buddy and I fired approx 40 arrows and all within a 5” circel at 16 yards. My score is shown in the picture.
BTW: This bow will be heading to the USA together with the other one I posted last month.

Stunning bow!

I couldn't help but notice your target, or more to the point, the broken window right next to it!  :)   I don't remember that being broken in the last pic?  It was your buddy, right?   :bigsmyl:    :campfire:

Jeremy,

No, it was another guy who bought a bow from me and right with his first shot he missed the target. Made a nice "klonk" through the plexi-glass, landing the arrow in the wall inside the wood shed. Well those things happen LOL.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Beautiful...you just keep getting better.  Nice wood selections, bocote and cocobola are two woods hard to beat for a good looking bow.

Looks like someone beat me to the "hole in the window" comment.  If that were my shed, it would be well air conditioned!  sTeve

Today I arrived in the US for a business trip and it's good to be back again.
I brought this one and another one with me to Minneapolis. I'll ship both bows to Ned Miller ( Crow's Head Outfitters)

Crooked Stic: Yes it's my own design.
