Hi All,
This is my very first glass Reflex/Deflex bow that I built last year August for my friend/colleague who lives in the USA.
The backing is made of tapered Osage, the belly is made of tapered Ash and a tapered maple strip is used as core. The riser is made of Bubinga with a Wenge accent in the mid-section. A cocobolo accent strip finishes it all off.
The tips are made from black phenol (base)and Ipe.
The bow pulls 49 lbs @ 28" and is 64" long from tip to tip.
He will take out the bow for hunting so this bow will be used for where it’s made for.
Any comments/opinions will be appreciated.
This picture shows me pulling and shooting the bow at our outdoor range at a distance of 30 yards.
