Like Shawn said I believe they're still just searching in most areas because you know when prime time rut is in you see bucks running crazy everywhere.

I've seen Thankgiving week be the best time. With the full moon coming that weekend I'd bet on that period as the hottest.

Not sure how they do it in New York, but here in Ohio, we usually shoot bucks while they're chasing does, not breeding them.  That's just plain wrong!    :saywhat:        :D

I hunted all this weekend and saw a lot of does and not very many bucks (2) and thye were yearan 1/2 olds. Nothing chasing around me yet. Hopefully it will pick up in the next two weeks. I have three days off next week and hope to see something good out there.
