riser

I am curious if anyone has built a wooden riser for a take- down bow, and what steps you used? Glues? Woods? Any help would be appreciated. Best to all.  :archer:

This is what I'm considering: I am interested in building a take down riser using laminations of persimmon and black walnut, with perhaps a single thin lamination of something lighter (hickory) as an accent. I am curious if anyone has tried this combination? Any general tips, or suggestions? Especially regards the limb bolt assy and locator pin hole? Will regular wood glue do the job, Urac, etc...? Is pressure clamping req'd?  Any thoughts/input would be appreciated!
