String Length

I am getting back to my roots shooting trad.But I have forgotten alot I have a Damon Howatt Hunter 62"60#@28" this sounds silly but what string length do I need? Do I adjust my brace height by twisting the string? I bought this bow in 91 so I doubt its ff compatable Any help would be great Thanks C.T.

Probably a 58 or 59".  Call Kustom King or Three Rivers and ask.  They will probably tell you right off and have the string in stock.

Recurve strings are typically 4" less than bow length.
Longbow strings 3".

I guess you could twist up a string that is 3" less for a recurve.
