high wrist grip, or.....?

My Hoyt Gamemaster II comes standard with a high wrist grip.
With my compounds, i always use a low wrist,for the most consistant hand placement. Is the high wrist the best option for a recurve? Why?

Standard on the Gamemaster two is a medium grip. You have to special order the high for it to come with it.

            That is what i thought also, but at the bottom of the grip description paragraph in the '07 catalog, it says the Gamemaster II comes with a high wrist grip.
            My archery shop called, and asked two different people, and both said it comes with a high wrist grip.
           I then called for an answer,(i did not see the previously mentioned paragraph at that time) and was told it comes with a standard grip?
So im not sure what grip this bow will arrive with.
So anyway, back to my question. Any thoughts?

I went by the online catalog(I was looking at one myself). A highwrist forces more of an upright hold of the bow and used to be the grip of choice for OLY target shooters though many of the top shooters have gone to a low wrist. Recurves generally have a higher brace height so you don't need the elbow bend you do with a longbow to prevent string slap and it can even give you a little more draw length and performance. It comes down to what works for your shooting style and is comfortable in your hand. They do have slats available for the GAmemaster so you can go down to a low wrist if you prefer a low wrist. The model two accepts the Hoyt Pro grips so you do have more choices than the old Gamemaster.

Thanks for the explanation, i appretiate it. I did see the side plate(slats) option, but thought it may be too cold while hunting.
