Short draw syndrome!
« on: April 15, 2007, 02:07:00 AM »
Guys im having more problems I dont get to my anchor and I shoot! My uncle was watching me and he said I was releasing by my nose and I wasn't even close to my face. He said I just need to concentrate and it should be like a riding a bike once you do it you never forget. I only do this at 20 yards or further I think its target panic what are some drills or something I could do to get over this?

Send Jay Kidwell a PM.  He'll have some good drills for you.

In case you have a hard time getting a hold of Jay I'll try and e-mail you a copy of what he sent me.  Your problem sounds similar to mine so I think he would recommend the same to you.

Jack - Sounds like a premature release which is easy to fix.  What Randy sent you should be sufficient, however, pm me if you need additional assistance.  Jay

Me too,may I get a copy of the exercises? J-Kid I have your first book and has been helpful. As a side note I use some of the principals on a SCTP trap team I help coach.

I feel target panic comes into play for me more some days than others.Somedays I just go to the dogs!!

Could someone send me a copy of the above mentioned drills as well.  I seem to get the problem corrected for a session or two,and then right back at it again, makes a guy not want to practice!

Can I have them too?
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up and worn out,and loudly proclaiming WOW!! What A Ride!!
