Just tried 3 under for a few shots...

I can see it's merits. Arrow closer to the eye.. etc...

I tried the extreme by trying to get the arrow right under my eye by anchoring my right ring finger where my middle finger goes with split finger style(corner o' mouth). Arrow looked like it was pointing a foot to the left of the dot at 20 yards.

Anchored with middle finger in corner of my mouth(still 3 under) and I noticed a less severe version of the same thing. Left of the dot but not as far.

Shot some 3 under shots w/ middle finger in corner of mouth anchor, and some shots were amazingly spot on. Some were really low.

Finished with a few shots split finger to judge noise difference and accuracy changes.

Noise was much less and accuracy was still good. I might add that it just felt "right", or more "natural". Granted a few 3 under shots does not the story tell.. nor is my bow tillered for 3 under, but it felt weird like shaking hands left handed or like some one in your space.

Not bashing the style.. I just don't think it will work for me. I've seen some archers shoot 3 under and it looks as natural on them as blinking.

It would be interesting to try a 3 under tillered bow and see if the weirdness went away.

You can adjust "tiller" by raising your nocking point.Here's a little "trick" I suggest to people "trying" 3-under.....

If you use a single nocking point and nock your arrow under it.....Nock your arrow ABOVE the nocking point and shoot a few arrows 3-under. This will raise your arrow nock about 1/4 inch and will "usualy" decrease noise and improove arrow flight (i.e. eliminate porpuising)

Try it.....Let me know what you think.....

I recomend two nock points, one above and one below for three under, if I nock my arrow above the nock the extreme FOC I hunt with slides the arrow nock up, but a good point that just moving the arrow above will raise the nock height as is needed for me when switching from split to three under.
Three under was noisier for me when I first switched until I started with a deep hook, then the release got very smooth and noticeably quieter.
It takes a while for it to feel natural after shooting split for a long time.

I am trying to switch to 3 under because it puts the arrow a lot closer to my eye and works to shorten my gaps making impact estimation much easier. I too didn't like the way it made the bow react but I am playing with tiller on my Dalaa and it is getting much better.

I set my tiller on the Dalaa at zero and seems to work shooting three under. Plus you can string walk on it well.
