I've seen pictures of shooters who draw past their mouth and anchor on the side of their face. How can they have a consistant anchor in such a manner?I would try it but seems to me to be too varible for mr.

Dave... I think if you search the forum. You will find that anchors vary by individual. Many anchor the "corner of the mouth" and many others do not. It is an individual thing. As long as one's anchor is constant that is what matters.
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

it is not any less consistant if you have a special spot you anchor, most people that "anchor on the side of their face" have a spot on the side of there face they hit,
i believe rich welch uses his thumb on his ear lobe, howard hill had a tooth he could feel, i have even heard of someone usuing a mole on their face.

you can shoot with your foot if you do it consistantly. just find a good solid anchor and a double anchor is best.
