Would you believe?
« on: September 10, 2007, 11:18:00 PM »
I got some PSECarbon Force Dominator 300s off a "popular" auction site, at a good price. The inserts that came with the arrows were threaded to accept weights. I put 200 grains on the 47 grain inserts and then screwed in a 250 grain field point. Would you believe with a grand total of 497 grains up front and they flew fantastic out of my 63# Crooked Stic longbow?

Sipsey River has them I think I saw he did at KTBA on Saturday. I got them from Keep It Simple Archery. I don't know if he can still get them. you can also take a 145 - 160 glue on fieldpoint and glue it to a 100 grain adapter. I've done that. I've even, although I haven't seen anymore since I bought the last six some vendor had at Cloverdale, a 200 grain glue on fieldpoint and glued it to a 100 grain adapter.

actually only a 250 grain and a Snuffer weighing 160 grains with a 100 grain adapter is 260 grains and I doubt 10 extra grains will do to much bad.
