RAZORSHARP-if he's having trouble with the dreaded roll-off you might suggest a good deep hook on the string and ask him to relax his hand, wrist, and forearm and initiate his draw by pushing back with his elbow. I taught three sons and their friends to shoot and this image usually helped with the problem. I've never seen a new shooter that didn't experience this problem to some lesser or greater degree.
