Flipper rest need advice
« on: October 05, 2007, 04:58:00 PM »
I put a flipper on my Kempf do I have to change my nock height and should I use a center shot gauge to check everything? Should this help me to be more accurate?

If you were shooting off the shelf before then yes, you're nock point height will have to be re-set.

Using a bow square on the rest, I start at +3/8" and shoot & adjust from there. I shoot three under and find that all of my recurves like a nock point height of +3/8" to +4/8".

Generally speaking, you can expect better arrow flight with an elevated rest.  Whether or not it's more accurate is up to you...

I would set it for centershot to start and adjust it from there.
