I am shooting a 66" longbow that has a real narrow shelf. I have always shot recurves and longbows that have a fairly deep shelf and with this bow I seem to have a terrible problem. MY ARROW COMES OFF THE REST AS I AM DRAWING! :(
It doesn't do it very often but it does it often enough to concern me. I shoot left handed and when it comes off I hit 2 feet to the right of where I am looking.
Yesterday it happened when I shot a buck and I just grazed the inside of his hind leg!
Now it is really messing with my head and I will switch bows if I need to but I really shoot this one good until my problem rears its ugly head.
I have tried torquing the string, moving grip position, and canting the bow, with no luck. :( Any advice is appreciated.
