Masters Of The Barebow Vol I: A Must Have!
« on: November 13, 2007, 09:13:00 PM »
Wife gave me Masters Of The Barebow Volume I for my birthday.  Wow, talk about a ton of good information!  There's so much there that I had to stop it halfway through and just absorb what I had seen to that point.

If you haven't got it, get it!...

I got volumes 1 & 2 for Christmas and watched them both the same day. The most information I've ever seen on how to shoot barebows. I switched from compounds to traditional gear about 9 months ago and I think I learned more from watching this video than over the past 9 months. To see someone demonstrate many of the techniques that I had heard about on this and other sites over the past year was extremely helpful and informative. Great footage, great personalities and amazing accuracy. Can't wait to watch them again and try some new things to see if I can improve on my accuracy and consistency. Can't wait for volume III.

I can heartily recommend both video's.  When trying to learn something I will watch the best I can find and see what they have in common. I find those are the things that I should emulate.  Watching the various archers on MOTB 1&2 in slow motion was somewhat of a revelation.  It also of course dovetailed into the Mr. Hill and Mr. Ferguson's techniques, as well as a few others.  But for me the key is watching, not necessarily listening.  Many times and you will see it on the videos people either don't really know how they do something or can't show and tell what they really do.  But watching in slow motion as they actually loose arrows will give you a true picture.  By following the examples set in the videos my TP is continuing to recede and my accuracy is returning.  I owe a heartfelt thanks to all the archers who participated in making the video.

I wonder if any of the people that put this video together changed any of their setups after viewing one of the others' setup? Hmm
